The Simple Woman’s Daybook

For Today, Monday, February 16th, 2009

Please visit Peggy at The Simple Woman to read more.

Outside My Window… A clear blue sky and the bright noon sunshine.  It looks warm, but,  it is February in Ohio – so it’s very cold!

I am thinking…About a young  father I  know of  who is undergoing some serious medical procedures today.

I am thankful for…A healthy toddler boy.  Markie was sick for four days.  High fever, vomiting, cough, the works.    It was a rough couple of days.  He has been without fever or vomiting for 24 hours now!  Praise God.

From the kitchen… Breakfast was an uninspired pot of boring old oatmeal.  For lunch Abigail and I made burritos and nachos.  For dinner Greta’s soon-to-be godparents are bringing dinner.

I am wearing… This nursing dress  in cranberry,  off white tights and woolrich scuffs.

I am creating…  Some Lenten resolutions.

I am reading…  The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality – Guidelines For Education Within the Family.

I am hoping…  For a peaceful productive week.

I am hearing… Baby squeaks from Greta, someone jumping on the little trampoline upstairs,  Toby Mac from the radio in the kitchen where two boys are washing dishes and discussing technology,  the budgie squaking,  Mary Katherine asking to watch a movie… lots of lively noise!

One of my favorite things…  A full house.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…Today Greta has her ‘established patient’ visit with the Pediatrician, then I need to run Isaac to Target for new shoes. (like weeds I tell ya!)    Tomorrow we may attend Mom’s Rosary Group.   Wednesday is our Holy Hour,  guitar/drum practice,  Thursday and Friday we rest.  Saturday is a fencing tournament,  and then Sunday our Bishop will be attending our parish Tridentine Mass,  where our boys will serve.

Here is picture thought I am sharing…  When Molly met Margaret:picture-367
